Iza's main plaza is a lovely space filled with trees and lined with colonial buildings, many of which now house cafes and restaurants.

There are a couple of sets of hot-spring complexes around town. Across the road from the Piscina Erika thermal baths are some undeveloped pools where locals like to go to take a free dip, but recently the waters have cooled somewhat – some residents blame the nearby mine – and are now lukewarm at best. Some of the pools are fenced off and access is prohibited.
