Metrolínea, modeled on Bogotá's TransMilenio, runs from Bucaramanga to Piedecuesta. The main lines run north–south along Carrera 15, with smaller buses running along Carrera 27 and Carrera 30 (along which they remain traditional bus stops rather than stations). Of little use yet to tourists, the system is mainly used en route to Mesa de los Santos or to get to the Papi Quiero Piña bus stop to pick up services to San Gil.
Passengers must purchase a rechargeable tarjeta inteligente (COP$3000) before boarding. A single ride costs COP$2100 and you can transfer between buses without charge.
