Hotels in the center of Armenia are more business oriented, while those in the north are more popular with travelers. Several new hostels have sprung up in recent years also.
There are plenty of cheap eats in the center during the day and also around the Universidad de Quindío, where numerous bars and small eateries pursue the student market. Several good international restaurants add spice to Armenia's mostly Colombian offerings.
Drinking & Nightlife
Armenia has a lively bar scene, as well as good coffee shops. The area around the Universidad de Quindío, northeast of the center on the road to Pereira, has several cheap bars. Many of the late-night options are in the zona rosa up on a hill outside town.
