Get into the nature and history to know the most typical food of Antioquia. The tradition of corn and its presence in our territory goes back to the prehispanic periods. The tribes and civilizations that inhabited these lands saw it as their great source of food, they were even venerated as a god. Antioquia and especially the southwest region are not away. Only 45 minutes away from Medellin city we will find the municipality of Amagá. This place was highly appreciated because it was an strategic point to conect the city with the Cauca river. Several farmhouses were built around the viaduct, some of them selling traditional products.
Be ready for this fascinating day.
