Locke Pub is a key part of Sūzhōu's social and cultural scene, as much a community social space as a pub. As well as serving imported bottled beers, wine and cocktails, this cosy pub also offers homemade ice cream, pastries and coffee, along with evening food. Run by the ever-friendly Fannings, it is a great place to hang out and meet locals.
Locke hosts regular events like concerts, art exhibitions and classes, movie nights, wine tastings, and plays by theatre troupes. Tuesday is open mic night. These events tend to attract local expat residents of Sūzhōu's Industrial Park area and are an excellent way to meet people from around the world who have made Sūzhōu their home. The pub also has an extensive collection of books to keep you entertained while you enjoy a drink or bite to eat. Locke Pub makes a good place from which to explore the surrounding Moon Harbour area of Sūzhōu Industrial Park, which includes the Sūzhoū Culture and Arts Centre and offers nice views over Sūzhōu's picturesque Jīnjī Lake.
