The current design of the pagoda structure was made between the years 1131 and 1162 and the base of the pagoda has an octagonal frame, and the tower rises nine stories in a total height of 76 m (249 ft). Its base and outside walls are made of bricks, the balustrades made of stones, and the eaves and banisters encircling the structure are made of wood.Secondly you will be shown around Pingjiang Road which was named after the city name before and is an ancient canal-side street located in the city of Suzhou and the road and its surroundings have been around for more than 800 years lined with quaint old bookshops, local theaters, and traditional Suzhou houses with whitewashed walls and black tiles and different kind of gifts shops.
