Day 1: Shanghai - JingdezhenThe train ticket will be sent to your hotel in advance. Go to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway station by yourself and take train number D3323 departing at 19:00 pm to Jingdezhen. Once you arrive to Jingdezhen in Jiangxi Province around 23:30 pm, a guide will be waiting for you at the train station with your name on a board to bring you to your hotel.Accommodation: Jindezhen Jin Lai Hotel or similar levelDay 2: Jingdezhen - Wuyuan (B, L)In the morning, you will have breakfast in the hotel and then be transferred to the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum, where you will learn the secrets of porcelain. For centuries, China’s imperial court used porcelain hand-crafted in the workshops of Jingdezhen to decorate their palaces. Later it was exported to Europe where it became world popular.This museum is located in a forest and includes several ancient buildings and bamboo trails. You will see the process of porcelain by watching men and women about 80 years old making vases as they had been doing for most of their lives. You will learn to recognize the different porcelain styles and how some of them are products of days of meticulous work. The tour will continue to enjoying a music performance of ceramic-made instruments and visiting the largest wood fired ceramic kiln in the world.You will be transported 1.5 hours to Wuyuan County, home to many small villages scattered amongst streams and forested hills. First you will take a cable car to visit Huangling, a village built on a hillside full of an atmosphere of simplicity and elegance. Here you will stroll to see ancient temples, residences and folk customs. Next, you will drive to Jiangling, a small village surrounded by numerous terraces located on the mountain slope, where you will enjoy gorgeous views of the area. Your guide will then drop you off at your hotel.Accommodation: Wuyuan Xing Jiang Wan Hotel (4 star) or similar level Day 3: Wuyuan - Shanghai (B, L)After breakfast, you will start your day visiting the 800 years old small towns of Sixi and Yancun. Most of the ancient houses are built with white walls and bluish roofs. The walls are decorated with small but exquisite windows, while the roofs have wood carvings and special patterns of dragons and phoenixes.Then you will step into the nature of Jiangxi Province by visiting the Rainbow Bridge. Having stood for more than 800 years, this bridge is the longest covered bridge in the area. This bridge is equipped with four bridge piers, five bridge openings and six gallery pavilions.After enjoying a traditional local cuisine lunch, you will be driven to Wuyuan train station to catch train G1507 departing at 14:15 pm and arriving to Shanghai at 18:00 pm. You will make your own way back to your hotel to relax after this wonderful trip in rural China.
