Lost Heaven

Top choice yunnan

in French Concession

While Lost Heaven has been around for more than a decade, it remains a stylish dinner choice with subdued red lighting and a giant Buddha dominating the main dining area. The Yunnan dishes are delicately flavoured and nicely presented; although the Dali chicken may not be as spicy as it is south of the clouds, the flavours are spot on.

The ancient trail crispy pork is delicious, as is the Yi-style stir-fried spicy beef. There are plenty of veggie options too, including wild vegetable cakes that come with a salsa-like garnish and the Yunnan eggplant with tofu salad.
