Welcome to Taipa

The most happening part of Taipa for travellers is Taipa Village. And though it has rapidly urbanised and gentrified in recent years, its streets are well preserved: come sundown, the leisurely air of 'old' surges back into the winding lanes with their restaurants, roadside shrines and colonial villas.

Day trip to Macau - private tour

Early departure is recommended due to the travel time involved getting to Macau - exact hours at your convenience. Arrived in Macau we may use the local public transit or the free hotel shuttles to get to the UNESCO world heritage centre, where we can see famous sights such as Senado Square and the ruins of the St. Paul's cathedral, of which only the façade is still standing. From there we take some less trodden streets passing by various other historical sights of Macau including various churches, the old Pedro V theatre, the Mandarin's House, Lilau Square, and finally the A-Ma temple. In clear weather a visit to the viewing deck of the Macau Tower is worthwhile (not included), or we may head over to Taipa or Coloane village. We finish the day with a visit to The Venetian casino (gambling optional - the gaming floor is 21+, the rest of the casino all ages), best known for it's canals in the shopping mall at the 3/F, complete with gondolas and singing gondoliers.
