This well-designed tour will help you to discover most of the wonders from Lhasa to Mt Everest and Lake Namtso. The tour starts with the top holy sites in Lhasa such as Potala Palace which is the landmark of Tibet and Jokhang temple, an ancient temple holds the highest position in Tibetan Buddhism. Then you will head to Gyantse and Shigatse for an adventure tour and get close to Lake Yamdrok and a great many of other attractions on the way. The sunrise at Everest Peak could be a spectacle not to be missed and it may be an unforgettable memory in your life time. Day 1 Arrival In LhasaOur staff will see you at the airport or railway station and send you to the hotel by car. You will stay overnight in Lhasa at 3-star or 4-star hotel.Day 2 Lhasa SightseeingOur guide will greet you at the hotel and leave for Drepung Monastery in the morning. As one of the greatest temple in Lhasa, Drepung Monastery occupying the highest position in Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Then you will pay a visit to Sera Monastery to feel the charm of Buddhism.Day 3 Lhasa SightseeingToday please follow us and step into Potala Palace, the highest palace in the world, to see the treasures handed down through thousands of years. Then take a walk into Jokhang Temple in the afternoon. After that, let’s have a walk in Barkhor street to feel the warmth and heavenly-mindedness of local Tibetans.Day 4 Lhasa – Gyantse – ShigatseToday we will head for Shigatse to have an excellent tour in the southwest of Tibet. Along the way, you could have a glimpse of the holy Yamdrok Lake which is famous by its breathtaking views and beautiful legend, enjoy the sight of Kumbum stupa and Palkhor Choede Monastery at Gyantse. Day 5 Shigatse -Tingri -Ronbuk –EBCYou will leave Shigatse in the morning and go for a small town which lies 150km away. Take a break there in the noon and after several hours traveling you will arrive Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve where you can have an overall view of the magnificent Himalaya. Then you will reach Rongpuk Monastery for an overnight stay.Day 6 EBC-ShigatseEBC is one of the best places to enjoy the glory and beauty of Mt.Everest. We strongly recommend you to get up early in the morning to see and take pictures of the peak in the golden sunlight. After sightseeing, you can enjoy the fantastic view on the way back to Shigatse.Day 7 Shigatse – LhasaAs one of the top 6 holy temple in Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Tashilhunpo Monastery is a place you can’t miss in Shigatse. It’s a good chance to learn more about Buddhist teachings there. Then you will back to Lhasa for an overnight stay.Day 8 Lhasa- NamtsoWe will drive to the north for the holy Lake Namtso in the morning. Enjoy the view of picturesque scenery along the road. Lake Namtso likes a mirror inserted on the Tibetan Plateau. The lake and great snow mountains reflect each other, all these will show you a picture of sanctity.Day 9 Namtso- LhasaToday you could first enjoy the sunrise by the lake and take a walk on Tashi Island to explore several caves and some interesting sites. On the return trip, you could take a bath in Yampachen Hot Spring to wash away the tired in your journey and revive for the coming adventure in your life.Day 10 Lhasa DepartureOur guide will meet you at the hotel and drive you to the airport/railway station to your next destination.
