Like in much of northeast China, food in Jílín tends to lean towards filling, belly warmers such as hotpots and barbecue meats. Street food is big all over, but is particularly famous in Chángchūn. Jílín's most interesting cuisine is in Yánjí, where authentic Korean dishes such as lěng miàn (cold noodles), and sweet-bread snacks in trendy cafes are claimed by locals as their own.
