Japanese in Kowloon

Japanese chefs char skewers of imported seafood and meats here at a 'robatayaki' (a fancy name for a charcoal fire). Point at what you fancy: it is scooped using a wooden paddle and popped on the coals. Robatayaki is a bit of schlep away, but a few years of Michelin props means foodies make the pilgrimage.

Minibus 5 from Hankow Rd (Tsim Sha Tsui) has a final stop at Whampoa bus terminus. The restaurant is in the Harbour Grand Kowloon Hotel, a three-minute walk away.
