The city's most famous trail begins in a forest, soars to a mountain ridge evoking a dragon's spine, before dipping to fine sands and surf. Though Hong Kong has no shortage of visually and culturally superior trails, 8.5km Dragon's Back is relatively easy to access. And it is impressive. On days when the golf greens, the sea and the luxury homes are all gleaming in the sun, dotted with cloud shadow, it's downright surreal.
Bus 9 and minibuses with the 'Shek O' sign depart from Shau Kei Wan Bus Terminus, right next to exit A of Shau Kei Wan MTR station. Alight at the trail head – To Tei Wan (土地灣) on Shek O Rd.
