Named after the elephants who live here – who are very retiring and rare are the travellers who have actually seen any of them. You will see monkeys, though, and it’s worth a visit if you want to see something of the local forest. A 2km-long cable car runs over the tree tops from the main entrance into the heart of the park, as does an elevated walkway.
It's located in Sānchàhé Nature Reserve. There is no accommodation in the park itself, so it’s best to stay in Jǐnghóng, from where 10 buses daily head out to Sānchàhé (¥15, one hour, 8am to 5pm).
