Dear all,
I will have limited time in Patagonia and was checking all of the hikes and scenery and saw that the green lush of the Enchanted Forest really appealled to me.

For people that have done all of Patagonia do you think I should make a detour for this or because I have limited time I should just focus on the most known attractions/hikes?

I know everything is a personal choice but I really have days counted, I already decided not to go to Ushuaia as well.

Thank you,
Tiago

I'm planning a trip to Chile's La Serena/Elqui Valley region for 2 July 2019's Total Solar Eclipse.

When I'm on the ground I'm going to need to have the very latest hourly weather radar & satellite imagery to hand. Which are the best apps for Chile please?

What do local people use?

Cheers
Jamie

Hi there,

In August I will be travelling to Chile for the first time with my boyfriend for 17 days. We have been pouring over articles, blogs, guidebooks for a few weeks now but we are completely overwhelmed and cannot pin down an itinerary. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

A few things to know:
1. We are in our early thirties, not very active but would like to get involved in outdoor activities, hiking/kayaking/rafting when we are there but having some time to rest is also quite…

Hi. I'm planning to do the O trek in Torres Del Paine in January, and I have questions about the convoluted process of booking sites.

1.) Vertice and Sur are now taking reservations for their sites, but Conaf has not opened up their reservations yet. Should I go ahead and book with Vertice and Sur with the hopes of getting the dates I need when the time comes to book with Conaf? I have a little flexibility in January. My concern is if I wait for Conaf to open up, the dates on Vertice and Sur…

Hi there

Do you need a supporting document handed by the national migrations authority so you don't have to pay the 19% vat on your room price?

Thanks! Hilde

Hey fellow travelers!

I am planning to buy a moto in Santiago and make a trip down to the southern tip of Argentina, Ushuaia, then back up to Buenos Aires, before making my way back across to Santiago.

A couple questions:
1.) I was thinking of starting the trip in November to get the best weather possible. Based on your experience in this part of Chile/Argentina, is this accurate? I understand this is high season, but I want to limit my exposure to the rain or snow, as I'll be on a moto and…

Hi all,

I'm hoping to visit Patagonia in December/January for just under a month.
Can anyone advise if it really is a bad idea to trek Torres Del Pain solo or is it just cautious advice?
I've trekked in the Himalayas solo a few times and thoroughly enjoyed walking without guides.

Also is it still required to book camping grounds before you enter the park? Can they be booked online before I arrive in to Chile/Argentina?

One last question :) Is there a preference on visiting Patagonia from the…

Hey, I'm thinking of booking a Torres Del Paine Trek in November/December that will start and end in Puerto Natales.

Then I want to fly to the Falkland Islands 4 days later.

The flight to the Falklands goes from Punta Arenas to Rio Gallegos to Mount Pleasant. If I just get the flight in Rio Gallegos, it's a lot cheaper then flying from Punta Arenas.

Anyway, so let's say I have four days/nights that I can spend in any combination of Puerto Natales, Punta Arenas and/or Rio Gallegos after the…
