Bike your way along the Metropolitan Park trails on this 3-hour private tour to see Santiago´s number one attraction - San Cristobal Hill. Take various paths riding on generally narrow dirt or gravel tracks and asphalt roads enjoying circuits featuring beautiful scenery and panoramic views. This guided tour is best for those passionate mountain bikers who possess previous experience. Mountain bike, helmet and gloves are included.
Start the mountain bike tour after meeting your guide at Huaso Tours offices in Providencia at your selected time in the morning or afternoon. Bike towards Pedro de Valdivia Avenue and the Metropolitan Park to gain access to the cable car. After loading your equipment onto the cable car (ticket included), enjoy the great views over Providencia and Vitacura neighborhoods. Once off the cable car, you'll ride along pavement roads until you get access to the mountain bike trails. If the cable car is closed or inaccessible, get ready to cycle uphill along paved roads to reach the off-road access point. Leave the pavement road and take alternative paths with varying degrees of difficulty and inclines. These trails are approximately 3-feet (1-meter) wide. As you bike along various trails bordering San Cristobal Hill, enjoy fantastic panoramic 360-degree views over the city as well as the beautiful vegetation, forest, and seasonal flowers surrounding you. Once you've completed the first track, start to bike up a second hill located further north to explore a different mountain bike circuit of dirt road. After this trail, head down towards Vitacura area to begin a 6-mile (10-kilometer) ride downhill. Here, you'll visit Bicentennial Park and its various bike paths bordering the Mapocho River. After about 3-hours, including any photo stops and short breaks, the mountain bike tour will end at the original departure point.
