Hi guys and girls,
I'm a 25 years old Italian/Indian/Swiss guy travelling solo from Zurich to Tenerife and Gran Canaria. The basic idea is to get a car and explore. I'm looking for a travel buddy who is active and willing to go around hiking/walking/partying and flying drones. Say around 20 and 30 years old.
I'm not interested at all for sex, hookups or what so ever.

Let me know if somebody is interested.
Jaski

Nice town/village

Hello,

Just having a quick look around for a place to stay that wouldn't be too touristy.

Trying to get away from Irish/English bars where there would be some locals.

Probably go in early May and we're a couple with a 7 month old.

From an initial look was looking at Teror or Playa de Mogan. Would Teror be very quiet to stay in? Appreciate anyones thoughts on this.

Thanks,
David

Hi,

Just started planning for my two weeks' of vacation in the Canary Islands in September. Without renting a car and relying on public transportation to do sightseeing, what is the best central area to "base" myself (i.e. finding accommodation) in the following islands: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote .

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi guys!

Thinking about spending some time in the Canary Islands for 2-4 weeks this summer. I don't want to do a lot of bouncing around, but I definitely want to see more than one island. Planning to go hiking, enjoy the great outdoors, and do some night time photography.

What are some tips and favorite places?

Also better way to arrive other than plane? Have time to kill and don't mind slow travel. :) Thanks!!

Hi there
I'm thinking about doing a trip to The Canary Islands in late July thru August. Never been before, and recently learnt to surf. Also like to dive and hike.
A few questions:
1) Can anyone recommend a good surf school?- preferably one with accommodation
2) Does anyone know a good dive school?- again, with accommodation if you know one.
3) If i spent a week doing both of those, is there enough to see around the islands for 3 weeks, or would 2 be better?
4) What would day-to-day costs be doing…

Will mostly be fishing from shore in Fuerteventura for 4 days in March before heading to Tenerife for 2-3 days. Will have a rental car. For Tenerife I've got a good idea of what I'd like to appreciate namely the rod to El Palma and Anaga area - but haven't found much info online for Fuerteventura.

I'd love to hear what everyone suggests in terms of getting way from the crowds and enjoying Fuerteventura for what is is. Also open for Tenerife advice as well!

My wife and I have just returned from our fourth trip to Tenerife. As on previously, we hired a car for the whole stay We are in our late 70s and have a Blue Badge for disabled parking. In previous years, this latter has been a godsend. Finding normal parking is often difficult in Tenerife and the Blue Badge usually allowed us to find parking in or near town centres etc and so enabled us to do sightseeing and shopping with not too much walking. However, this year we found a change for the worse…

Will be spending a week on each island and hope to eat well. Not fancy, not touristy - just good local whatever-it-is that there is. Holes in the wall, shacks, little places with grandma cooking. Anything you'd like to share from either La Palma or Gran Canaria? We also like a bit of wine now and then so will be looking for an interesting bodega or a local cheesemaker. Looking forward to exploring the islands and sampling the local specialties.

La Palma Fires?

How has the island recovered from the forest fires?

The fire occurred shortly after I was there last and one of my favourite things was to hike through the pine forests.
