It's the glass cabinets of baked treats that lure most people through the door of this longtime Chinatown fixture; pop in for a well-priced prawn turnover or barbecued pork steamed bun to go. The takeout is the point of this place but if you're hungry for more, snag a table in the busy dining area at the back and dive into dim sum.
Service can be a little surly here; make sure you know what you want before you step up to the counter. There are also several vegetarian steamed bun varieties, and lots of tempting sweet pastries to turn your head. The free-entry Dr Sun Yat-Sen Park is not far away if you need a picnic perch.
