Vancouver's best Thai restaurant is a contemporary reinvention of the concept, with subtle, complex influences flavoring the menu in a warm, wood-floored room with an inviting ambiance. You can start with the familiar (although even the pad Thai here is eye-poppingly different), but save room for something new, such as the utterly delicious black-pepper venison stir-fry.

The halibut green curry is also a local favorite. The mains here are surprisingly well priced, but why not feast like a king via the six-dish chef's menu for $45 (also available in a vegetarian version)?
