Parking is tight but not impossibly so. Look for meters and paid lots – there are typically enough spaces to accommodate everyone, even on weekends (though you may have to circle a couple of times).
- Happy hour The Rooftop is the place to enjoy happy hour on the east side. Make reservations – yes, for a bar – or you’ll have to wait till after dark.
- Farmers market Instead of heading to St Lawrence Market, east-siders shop for their fresh produce and artisanal cheeses at the Evergreen Brick Works farmers market.
- Sledding Riverdale Park East, in front of Rooster Coffee House, is a popular spot to take a saucer or tube to shoot down its steep hills. Enjoy the view of downtown Toronto, if you can!
