On a leafy street near McGill University, students, professors and the odd neighborhood regular not associated with the university flock to this charming vegetarian cafe. Even skeptical carnivores are won over by plates of creamy rich lasagna, sweet-potato and coconut-milk curry, and nachos piled high with black beans, mozzarella, avocado and sour cream.
Fresh juices, decent coffee and decadent desserts (try the chocolate cake with raspberry coulis) complete the picture. Lola Rosa also hosts a popular weekend brunch. There's a second location in the Plateau.
