The chalet overlooking Plage des Îles hosts its cabane à sucre (sugar shack) during maple season. At long communal tables, diners feast on maple-syrup-tinged dishes such as sausages, beer-braised ham, baked beans, potatoes seared in duck fat and maple-sugar pie. Reserve ahead.

With a flickering fire in the corner and views across the frozen lake, the warmly lit chalet does a fine stand-in for the countryside if you can't get out of town.
