With 781 mainly wooded sites and a full list of amenities (including showers, wheelchair access, a kids' playground and an interpretive program), Whistlers is one of the largest campgrounds in North America. Consequently, staff run a tight ship. The campground is located 3.5km south of Jasper Town and linked by a well-used bike/hike path. Elk commonly stalk the grounds.
In recent times, Whistlers has gotten into the glamping game, offering 21 'oTENTiks' – canvas-walled ‘cottage tents’ ($75) equipped with kitchen facilities, wooden beds and electricity; they sleep up to six people.
