Rampart Creek Campground

Campground in Icefields Parkway

The northernmost campground in Banff is primitive, but handy for the Columbia Icefield. Mountain views are particularly grand and it’s often a good spot for wildlife – don’t be surprised if an elk or bighorn sheep putters past your tent. There’s well water, dry privies and kitchen shelters on-site, plus a fire-free loop if you’re sick of smelling other people’s smoke.
