As its monolithic statue of 'the king of our rivers' suggests, Causapscal is crazy about salmon. The largest salmon caught here weighed over 16kg. Other outdoor activities on the town's doorstep include hiking, with trails meandering through the surrounding hills. The town itself has a beautiful stone church and many old houses with typical Québécois silver roofs, though odors from nearby sawmills sometimes spoil the picturesque scene.
