It's difficult to work out if Wendel's is a bookshop attached to a cafe or a cafe attached to a bookshop. Both are equally visit-worthy. This is certainly more than a soup and sandwich hangout for bibliophiles. You can get baby back ribs here, and the homemade deserts (including caramel and pecan cheesecake) are surely from another sweeter planet.
