At this world-class visitors center displays and dioramas illustrate the park's wildlife, history and geology. The center also has a bookstore, cafeteria, wi-fi and lookouts with spectacular views.
This excellent museum has extensive exhibits dedicated to the park’s logging heritage. The displays are spread along a 1.5km trail that remains open even when the reception area, bookstore and theater are closed.
Attached to Whitney's gas station and shop, this village hub is a good place to insulate yourself with some tea or soup before driving into the woods. Burgers, wraps and more substantial dishes are on the menu.
