Whistler Medicine Trail Snowshoe Tour with Totem Pole Lake

Outdoor Activities in Canada

Tour description provided by Viator

On this 2.5-3 hour snowshoe tour, walk through a forest full of mystery along an old trapper’s path. As you snowshoe, sample healing teas from plants that grow along The Medicine Trail. Travel deep into a special ancient forest in the Callaghan Valley. Hear a brief history of the area’s traditional uses and ways of the past. Finish back at the caboose for a rejuvenating snack by the fire.
Check in at the tour desk in the Carleton Lodge 30 minutes prior to your tour departure. You will meet your professional guide who will shuttle you 20 minutes south of Whistler to the Callaghan Valley. Once in the Callaghan Valley, strap on your snowshoes and your guide will lead you deep into the old-growth forest. Gaze upon giant cedar, fir and hemlock tress that provide a canopy high above. Your guide will share local knowledge as you pass by Salish Totem poles before stopping at an authentic Trapper's Cabin next to Totem Pole Lake. At this Trapper's Cabin, you will sample healing teas from plants that grow along The Medicine Trail before venturing back to reality. This tour is 2.5-3 hours round-trip (includes shuttle time to and from the Callaghan Valley), and is designed for a healthy level of fitness.
