Your guide will take you on a 3 hour-tour in Downtown Budapest and show the city's Art Nouveau architecture.
The tour starts at 10.00 AM. Meeting point is on the Kossuth Square, right in front of Szamos Café (Kossuth Lajos tér 10.) Upon request it is possible to ask for different departure time and meeting point.
This tour will introduce you to the innovations of the turn of the century in architecture such as ornamentation, technological development and new forms and material. At the same time, you will get a taste of the historical era and get to know the most important Art Nouveau buildings in the center of Budapest, such as Gresham Palace, Academy of Music, Royal Postal Savings Bank, Thonet House and many more. You can also gain insight into furnishing and the arts and crafts around 1900 by the collection of the House of Hungarian Art Nouveau (entrance ticket included) and also into the professional development of Ödön Lechner, founding father of Hungarian Secession, also known as the Hungarian Gaudí.

The tour is basically a walking tour, however the tour fee includes the public transportation tickets for the millenium metro line.
