This resort at the east end of North Sound has 85 hillside villas adorned with batik bedspreads and teak floors. Villas have hammocks, wrap-around verandas and are open to the trade winds; they have air-conditioning and wi-fi, but no TV. Rates include unlimited use of the resort’s bountiful equipment for sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and much more.
A daily slate of activities keeps everyone on the go, including children, who get their own program of hiking, snorkeling, crafts and scavenger hunts. The water-sports facilities and Yacht Club bar are open to the paying public. Many people also come to the Clubhouse Grille for the monumental brunch and dinner buffets. A free ferry to Bitter End departs Gun Creek on the half hour.
