Imagine experiencing Brazil. Ok, now imagine experiencing virtually all of it and you've pretty well summed up this absolutely incredible 26-day whirlwind tour of nearly all the country's highlights. Start off discovering why Rio is a favourite city for anyone who's been. Feel the vibrations (in your heart) from the rumble of Iguassu Falls. Then head north into the Amazon to explore the lush jungle. After find yourself in Chapada NP finding waterfalls, caves, and parts of yourself you'd long forgotten. From party time in the cities, to some serious beach time along the coasts, this is the right (aka best) way to do iconic Brazil.

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro There are no planned activities until the evening welcome meeting. Additional Notes: Booking pre- or post-trip accommodation is highly recommended to allow time for activities and to fully experience this vibrant city. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting
Day 2 Rio de Janeiro/Paraty (1B) Travel up the coast to Paraty and wander the cobblestoned streets of this colonial beach side town. Transport: Local bus (5.00-6.00 hours, 250km)
Day 3 Paraty (1B) With Paraty's stone streets and colonial architecture still standing, the town has some of the best examples of Portuguese colonial architecture in the world. The town is currently on UNESCO's tentative list to gain World Heritage Centre status. To preserve the historical ambience and walkability of the historic centre, only bicycle and pedestrian traffic are allowed in the area.
Day 4 Paraty/Foz do Iguaçu Skip the 19 hour journey by land and hop a flight to Iguassu from São Paulo, maximizing your time to enjoy the falls. Transport: Private Vehicle (5.00-6.00 hours) Plane (1.50 hour(s), 1000km)
Day 5 Foz do Iguaçu Visit the Brazilian side of the falls to get the best panoramic view. Opt to visit the bird park filled with beautifully coloured local wildlife or enjoy an optional helicopter ride for a birds-eye view of the falls. Included Activities: Iguassu Falls (Brazil Side) Guided Tour
Day 6 Foz do Iguaçu (1B) Explore trails that will bring you directly over the falls of the Devil's Throat—the highest and deepest of the falls. Other trails allow access to the stretch of falls across the forest on the Argentine side. Opt to take an inflatable boat to the base of the thundering falls. Additional Notes: If you have booked the Iguassu Falls Boat Ride Extra, you will do it on Day 6 when visiting the Argentine side of the falls. Please be aware, reciprocity fees may apply for Americans, Canadians and Australians when crossing the border into Argentina. Day 7 Foz do Iguaçu/Bonito (1B) Leave early for a full travel day to Bonito. Transport: Local bus (14.00 hour(s), 768km)
Day 8 Bonito Spend time in Bonito with optional activities available like snorkelling in the rivers or exploring the nearby caves and waterfalls.
Day 9 Bonito (1B) Enjoy another free day to explore Bonito.
Day 10 Bonito/Pantanal (1B, 1L, 1D) Experience the Pantanal, an immense wetland area famed for its profuse wildlife. A 2-day excursion allows visitors to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Additional Notes: Please note, while on the rustic excursion in Pantanal the nights will be spent in hammocks. Day 11 Pantanal (1B, 1L, 1D) Full day of exploring the Pantanal. Try piranha fishing or horseback riding. Opportunities to spot wildlife such as monkeys, macaws, giant otters and caiman. Included Activities: Pantanal Wildlife Excursion
Day 12 Pantanal/Rio de Janeiro (1B) Transfer to Campo Grande and fly back to Rio before arriving to the centrally located hotel in Copacabana. Transport: Local bus (5.00-6.00 hours) Please note you will be arriving back to Rio airport at approximately 7pm because there are no direct flights from Campo Grande to Rio. Depending on the schedule there may be a stopover in Sao Paolo. Plane (1.50-3.00 hours)
Day 13 Rio de Janeiro Enjoy a free day to soak up the vibrant energy of Rio de Janeiro.
Day 14 Rio de Janeiro/Amazon Jungle Lodge (1B) Transfer one hour from Manaus to the village of Rio Preto da Eva, visit a local market before heading up river by motorized canoe to the jungle lodge. The wet season, from March to August known as igapó, floods the surrounding forests enriching the soil and plants. Gliding over the submerged forest by canoe is an experience that is unique to the Amazon. The dry season from September to February also has its draws, when the level of the river reaches its lowest, fish crowd together making them easy targets for catfish and dolphins. Lower water levels also make it harder for caimans to hide and easier to spot. Day 15 Amazon Jungle Lodge (1B, 1L, 1D) The lodge is located within the jungle and just off the river making a great base for Amazon exploration. During free time relax in the hammocks or go for a swim. Listen to the local guides explain what life is like in the Amazon and learn about the legends, traditions and culture of the region. Day 16 Amazon Jungle Lodge/Fortaleza (1B) Wake up early for a morning excursion by canoe and enjoy the silence before the jungle awakens. Take in the sights and sounds of the Amazon while travelling along the river back to Manaus before flying to Fortaleza. Day 17 Fortaleza/Jericoacoara (1B) Today is a long travel day to get to the calm teal waters of "Jeri". Travel up the coast away from Fortaleza and arrive in the evening in time to watch the sunset over the ocean. Transport: Local bus (8.00 hour(s))
Day 18 Jericoacoara (1B) Affectionately known as 'Jeri' to locals, Jericoacoara is a small fishing village where the streets are made of sand. Surrounded by sand dunes, and stunning coastline there are plenty of activities to choose from during the day. At night, the town lights up with its many restaurants and fun nightlife.
Day 19 Jericoacoara (1B) Visit the Holed Stone, a famous rock formation located a 30 min walk down the beach, grab your camera, it makes for a scenic view with the ocean as its backdrop. Jeri is an ideal spot to try some of the many water sports on offer. Named one of the best places in the world for windsurfing, it is a mecca for water sports of all kinds, give surfing, windsurfing or kitesurfing a try.
Day 20 Jericoacoara/Fortaleza (1B) Travel from Jeri back to Fortaleza, enjoy the vibrant city and nightlife. Transport: Local bus (8.00 hour(s))
Day 21 Fortaleza/Salvador (1B) Salvador is famous for it's Afro-Brazilian culture, if you haven't had a chance to see the famous Capoeira, check out a performance. Wander the cobblestone streets of Pelourinho, the old city, and sit outside and enjoy dinner while people watching. Find a spot on the umbrella crowded beach and do some shopping from the vendors passing by, they sell almost everything. The bay has calm waters which makes it ideal to go for a dip in the ocean. Days 22-23 Salvador/Chapada Diamantina National Park Head away from the coast for some hiking, mountains and breathtaking landscapes. Catch a bus to Chapada Diamantina NP and look forward to a few active days. Enjoy the evening in the small town of Lençóis, the base for exploring the park. Transport: Local bus (7.00 hour(s))
Day 23 Chapada Diamantina National Park (1B) Over the next few days, enjoy guided exploration through Chapada Diamantina NP. Journey down into the caves at Gruta Lapa Doce and Pratinha, where the glowing blue water is so transparent that it's hard to tell where the roof ends and the water begins. Hike through the park to Poco do Diablo waterfall for a swim en route to Morro do Pai Inácio for an incredible view over the beautiful park.
Day 25 Chapada Diamantina National Park/Salvador (1B) Take a scenic ride through the countryside on the way back to Salvador. Enjoy the evening in this vibrant city. Transport: Local bus (7.00 hour(s))
Day 26 Salvador (1B) Depart at any time.
