Journey to discover the state of Paraiba, the last witness of the true culture of the Northeast. This package will give you the opportunity to know all the aspects of a fascinating region both for its culture, still deeply rooted, and for its nature, dazzling and luxuriant. Not only beaches, like Baia da Traiçao and its region rich in natural parks and beatiful beaches, but also an immersion in the interior region to discover the charm and magic of the Sertao where history and secular traditions coexist in the famous "Circuito do frio" of Areia with the ancient distillery of Cachaça and Pedra da Boca where the rocks eroded by time draw surprising geometries.
Day 1 and 2. Visit to Baia da Traiçao coast region. Baia da Traiçao is the only municipality in Brazil that is within and completely surrounded by an indigenous reservation and has the presence of two environmental protection areas of great importance for the conservation of mangroves and manatees, here present with five specimens monitored by biologists and perfectly inserted in their natural habitat. Day 3,4 and 5. Excursion at Brejo Paraibano, Alagoa Grande, Areia and Pedra da Boca.Alagoa Grande is a small town in the interior of Paraiba with some vestiges of the recent past linked to the cultivation of sugar cane. The most representative monument of that historical period is the Teatro Santa Inez, built at the beginning of the '900 in a refined Italian style with interiors made entirely of precious wood. Some km. of the city is the Volupia distillery that produces one of the best cachaças in the northeast.Areia is a city of great historical and cultural interest. On the campus of the Federal University of Areia you can visit a very interesting botanical garden and the "museum and casarao of rapadura" that still houses the old machinery for the production of raw sugar. Around Areia there are still many engenhos that produce cachaça and sugar in artisan hobbies, many of these can be visited by appointment. The road to Pedra da Boca extends through small towns where time seems to have stopped, until reaching the planned destination, the state park of Pedra da Boca. The entrance to the park is dominated by the majesty of the Pedra, a giant rock monolith furrowed by deep fissures excavated by the erosion of the weather, in the main wall of the rock opens the large cave-shaped mouth that the next day It will be the destination of our adventurous ride. In the morning, we face the climb to the Pedra da Boca, our local guide is Tico, a gentleman of about fifty years, a great connoisseur of these places, flora and fauna that is popoalano and on the way tells us stories of his youth, are stories of those who lived a very hard life, hard work and the greedy land of this region and bring the cows that graze on his horse here is like a brother . Time passes quickly by listening to Tico stories that partially alleviate fatigue and soon reach the last uphill stretch that is overcome by climbing on a 45 ° wall with the "help of a rope, overcome this" last obstacle of their arrival inside Boca From here we realize the size of the cave that opens 80 meters to the half moon to form a natural amphitheater of incredible charm with a breathtaking view of the valley below.
