Set on a peaceful tree-lined street, this nicely designed restaurant with a relaxing front terrace serves creative, beautifully executed dishes. Start off with oysters from Santa Catarina or crabmeat with fennel puree then move on to tuna with wild chicory and mushrooms, or duck confit with risotto.

There are also seafood pastas and a few meat-free dishes, including a vegetarian heart-of-palm moqueca (Bahian fish stew cooked in a clay pot with dendê oil, coconut milk and spicy peppers).
