These beaches located to the south of Recife are undoubtedly amongst the most beautiful of Pernambuco. Renowned for their beauty and warm, crystal-clear waters, they were once a refuge for adventurers seeking the peace and quiet offered by a small fishing village. Today's adventurers can take a buggy ride to the beautiful beaches of the region (Cabo de Santo Agostinho and Calhetas) or take a catamaran trip to the beaches of Paraíso and Francês or the mangroves.
