This easy 1.7km return hike leads west of Vila do Abraão past two small beaches, Praia Corisco and Praia Preta, to the moss-covered stone ruins of Lazareto prison, shut down in 1954. It then continues past an old aqueduct adjoined by a large swimming hole called Poção, perfect for a picnic and a dip. Along the way you'll hear birds and jungle creatures, and may run into local kids jumping into the water on their way home from school.

Beyond the aqueduct, a more challenging trail leads to Cachoeira da Feiticeira, a lovely 15m waterfall, before continuing to the beach at Saco do Céu.
