Sleeping

Boa Vista doesn't see that many tourists and, perhaps as a result, the hotel scene is fairly unremarkable. Government and business types fill the hotels on weeknights so book ahead.

Eating

At the top of the long narrow park between the split lanes of Av Capitan Ene Garcez is a concentration of restaurants and fast food options. It generally has the city's richest pickings.

Drinking & Nightlife

Boa Vista’s recently refurbished waterfront, known as Orla Taumanan, has a handful of open-air beer gardens that fill up most weekend evenings and nights. The streets around the waterfront can get a little lonely, however – stay alert walking back to the hotel or grab a cab.
