Adventure sports are a natural fit for many visitors here. Rewarding options include stand-up paddling (SUP), windsurfing, kayaking, mountain biking and tree climbing (arbolismo in Portuguese). Ask at Mãe Natureza, Areia Branca Ecotour or Gil Serique for prices and availability.

In addition to Ilha do Amor and Praia do Cajueiro, there are several beaches further afield best reached in a car or on a beach-hopping tour, including Pindobal (8km), Cajutuba (16km), Aramanai (26km) and Ponta de Pedras (28km). These beaches are quite built up with waterfront restaurants; if you're looking for an isolated beach experience, talk to a tour agency.
