Tijuca Forest Park main sector and hike by the old bridge Job de Alcântara built in 1860 (used in the movie Hulk), Mayrink Chapel (buil in 1850) and the Visitor´s Center. Our guides will take you to hike on an easy ascending trail in the tropical rainforest where you'll experience the nature of the jungle reaching the Cascatinha Summit (1722ft=525m) with an amazing view to the valley and the highest mountains. After the hike, you'll be rewarded with a refreshing dip in a river*. The tour also includes visitng the Chinese View summit (Vista Chinesa), probaby the most famous summit in Rio, with a great view to Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf compsing mountains and beaches of Rio.
*Swim in the river is optional. The flow and deepness can cary according to the intensity of the rains on the season.

8 to 9:00 - pick-up from hotel (South Zone are of Rio only) (*1) and drive to Tijuca National Park 9 to 9:30 - visit Cascatinha Taunay (Taunay Waterfall) (highest of the Tijuca Park, 35m=115ft)9:30 to 09:50 - tour guide speech about history of Rio, Brazil and the Tijuca Rainforest09:50 to 11:50 - Hike in the forest doing a circuit passing by the main attractions (Mayrink Chappel, Visitor's Center, Cascatinha summit) (4,5km =2.8 miles, approx. 2h, elevation gain 313m=1026ft) 11:50 to 12:10pm - Quick swim in the river 12:10 to 12:40pm - Drive to Chinese View summit with a quick stop for pictures12:55 to 1:30pm - Drive back to South Rio and drop-off (*4) at designated hotels (*1) - starting time (precise pick up time will be informed on the day before the tour according to the pick-up point) (*2) - Lunch/drinks/water are NOT included - please take ready-to-eat food and water (about 2 liters/person) (*3) - the flow at the waterfall varies according to the intensity of rains (*4) - times here are approximately and total duration of the tour can vary according to the pace of te group and traffic.
