Our afternoon tour will start with a meeting at “Relogio da Carioca”, an antique iron tower clock, located right at the exit of the Carioca Subway station, more specifically in the Carioca Square, of the busiest areas of downtown Rio, with a Metro station and lots of shopping around. It is located between several of the main streets of the city center, and continues as a pulsating heart of the city, where there is a lot of pedestrian traffic.Then you will take the LRV (Light Rail Vehicle) and head to the Olympic Boulevard, where you will have a historical and cultural tour through the Sea Port Area.The region called Porto Maravilha (Wonder Port) started to be revitalized in 2010 and has now a variety of interesting buildings and museums. You will take a good walk passing the Olympic Boulevard, throughThe GaleRio Porto Maravilha (Wonder Port GaleRio), a sequence of panels that make up an artistic pathway with walls that have been painted by 20 artists and the famous street art mural, called Etnias, painted by Eduardo Kobra. Also you will have a chance to visit the MAR, the Rio Art Museum, installed in two buildings with heterogeneous and interconnected profiles. You can get a nice view of the Museum of Tomorrow from MAR’s rooftop.Right after we will head to the Museum of Tomorrow, a science museum in the city. It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. This intricate yet captivating museum mixes science with an innovative design to focus on sustainable cities and an ecological world.You will then take the subway back at the Hotel areas, ending this incredible and historical tour.
