The Felicia Leirner Museum is an open air museum in Campos do Jordão and has a collection of sculptures by the artist that gives the institution its name. Next to the Museum you can visit the Claudio Santoro Auditorium and a large natural area belonging to the Atlantic Forest.
The Felícia Leirner Museum, an institution of the São Paulo State Government administered by the State Department of Culture in partnership with ACAM Portinari (Cultural Association of Support to the Casa de Portinari Museum), Social Organization of Culture, based in Brodowski (SP) , was inaugurated in 1978 and occupies approximately 35 thousand m2 within a fragment of the Atlantic Forest, an important Brazilian biome, in Campos do Jordão (SP). The work of the institution takes place in three axes: in the Visual Arts, represented by the 84 sculptures made by the artist that gives name to the Museum, considered one of the most important sculptures in Brazil, in Music, represented by Cláudio Santoro Auditorium, an important Latin American classical music festival, and in Environmental Heritage, represented by the area where the museum is located.
