Our 5 Nights 6 Days Safari in Okavango Delta Botswana Day 1: We drive to Moremi game reserve which is situated in the middle of Okavango Delta covering 15000 square kilometres of the northern part of Botswana. We will be using BOGA campsite or HATAB campsite. The campsite is situated in Moremi Game Reserve. (3 hrs 30 mins drive from Maun).Moremi Game Reserve rests on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and was named after Chief Moremi of the BaTawana tribe. Moremi was designated as a Game Reserve, and not a National Park, when it was created. This designation meant local people, the BaSarwa or Bushmen that lived there were allowed to stay in the reserve. The Moremi Game Reserve covers much of the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and combines permanent water with drier areas, which create some startling and unexpected contrasts. Some prominent geographical features of the Reserve are Chiefs Island and the Moremi Tongue. In the Moremi Game Reserve one can experience excellent views of Savannah game as well as bird-watching on the lagoons.Day 2:During our stay in Moremi Game Reserve we will be doing two activities per day that is morning and afternoon game drive. The morning Game drive will start at 06:00hrs after breakfast and back to the campsite for lunch around 11:00hrs Afternoon Game drive start at 15:30hrs back to the campsite after sunsetDay 3:Morning Game drive heading down to Xakanaka Boat station for a mid-day 3 hours boat cruise. (about 45kms)Day 4: Drive from Moremi Game Reserve to Khwai Development Trust and our drive will be conducted as morning game drive and around to Khwai campsite around lunch.Khwai Development Trust is located in the heart of the Botswana wilderness, located to the north of Moremi Game Reserve and to the south of Chobe National Park, it serves as not only one of the country's best managed Community Based Natural Resource Management Programs but also a perfect stop over when traveling between the two national reserves. The Trust was founded in April 2000, and represents the interests of the community of the Khwai Village and it has become one of the best place for game viewing with us camping along the river, we will have great chances of watching animals coming to drink, also best bird watching and beautiful scenery.Day 5: Will do early morning and afternoon game drive in Khwai which will be resuming around 0600 hours finishing around 11:30 and 15:00 hours till sun setDay 6:Drop off point (Maun International Airport).
