Hi all,
What is the best way to get between Kasane and Maun? I read something in my LP guidebook about there being a combi or bus (I think, I don't have the book with me) and I also saw there were flights. I'm travelling on my own, so won't have the option of driving. I usually travel using local transport to see more and to save money, but at the same time don't want a lot of hassle.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

I'm in the early stages of researching a trip to Southern Africa. I am aiming to go in Sept/Oct this year, but I know I'm leaving the planning late - if I can't get camp bookings then I will plan for the same time next year (like I said, early stages - my job is unpredictable!) I should have around 3 weeks.

This will be my fourth solo trip to Africa and I have always self driven there before - 3 weeks in Namibia, and several weeks in Kruger. I would like to branch out a little this…

Hi I am a 31 year old female who has traveled the world, but never Africa and never alone. I am trying to plan a trip to Africa sometime between Aug and October and plan to stay about a month. I am physically active and have a passion for wildlife. I would love to volunteer at an animal orphanage or sanctuary where I can get up close with some animals. I am also on a budget and do not need a luxury trip. I was able to stretch $3000 in spending money to last me for 3 months traveling around South…

So I'm a UK passport holder, currently in Botswana and thinking of crossing the Mohembo border into Namibia to check out a camp I'd been recommended on the Caprizi strip.

I'm planning on re-entering Botswana again a few days later, probably 3-4, before heading down to Gabs. Anyone think of any reasons why Botswana immigration might get funny about me crossing back so soon after leaving? I still have a good 20 days or so on my Botswana stamp.

I'm sure it'll be fine but it's always good to…

My wife and I are trying to avoid flying from Windhoek - Gabarone - Maun and instead would like to try and take a cheaper driving option. Renting a vehicle one-way is silly money so we're trying to use alternate transport via B6 and A2 through Gobabis, Ghanzi and on to Maun. Anyone have any info on this? Looks like we can get a bus to Gobabis, then maybe a shared taxi to Buitepos, cross the border, possibly hitch a ride to Ghanzi, then more public transport to Maun.
Thanks,
Wayne

Hi, We ( a married couple with 18 yr/old son) would like to see southern Africa, from 11th November 2018 into December, by rented self drive 4x4. We are happy to camp, though a few nights in mid range lodges would be good to help us catch up with our emails & washing etc.
Although our duration is a little flexible, approx 6 wks, our start date isn't. I also expect December will include South African school holidays, and am not sure how this will affect us.
Any advice on camp sites/ lodges, 4x4…

Hi, I take interest about bushmen culture. Is it possible to visit a their village and to be with them for 3-4 days?
Can you give me some news and contacts please? I'm an expert traveller and a contact of a local guide only could be OK.
Thanks.
PS: In your opinion are more preserved bushmen villages in Namibia or Botswana?

We are planning a trip through Botswana in late june, we'll drive ourselves in a 4x4 with rooftop tents. We're not luxury travellers and can't afford to stay at fancy lodges, also our itinerary might change along the way so we can't book much in advance.

Does anyone know which of the parks/game reserves we can enter without booked accommodation? We've tried to find information about this, but it's not easy to find.

Thanks in advance for all advise!

Dear all!
me and my wife (48 and 43 years old, both experienced traveller and very fit) would like to enjoy a 5-6 days safari in Botswana in June.
We would like to visit: Okavango Delta, Chobe NP and Victoria Falls.
Do you think 6 days are enough to visit all 3 sites? (if not we could skip Victoria Falls)
We are both very adventurous (we love trekking) and we are keen to sleep in a small tent but also to enjoy a luxury overnight.
Do You have any experience to share (also any relaible Safari company…
