Theoretical and practical preparation by a licensed mountain guide. Čvrsnica, or as it is called – "the roof of Herzegovina“ is the highest mountain in Herzegovina, located at an altitude of 2,228 meter. This mountain trail is the most interesting and most attractive for all hikers and nature lovers in Herzegovina. Hajdučka Vrata ("the Hayduk Gate“) is east of Čvrsnica mountain. This is an exceptional, natural phenomenon of miraculous beauty for all visitors. This is because the Hajdučka Vrata formed through centuries of climate conditions (wind, rain and sun) into a circular opening – a magical ring 5m in diameter. Unfortunately, since stone erosion, which created the gate continues, this natural wonder is disappearing with each passing day. Therefore, in fear that it may collapse, hikers visit it often with a special sense of respect. Legend says the mountain-ring was the place where young men during the Ottoman Empire were proclaimed freedom-fighers (hayduks), to fight against the Ottoman state. Once they would pass through the Hajdučka Vrata, they make an oath to protect their group and be their faithful member. The Hajdučka Vrata is 2000 meters above ground, far away in a place safe for hayduks of that time, where they wouldn't be disturbed. After this, we reach the beautiful Crvenjak Lake, 1970 meters above ground. Our visitors always try to capture this idyllic landscape with pictures. This Lake is especially interesting because, as one would say, its shape, water-capacity, and water temperature do not change, regardless of the season. In winter, the Lake freezes over and one can slide on it.Hiking tour is medium intensity. The tour lasts for 7 hours, depending on tempo. Dinner and overnight stay are organized in Hostel Stećak Konjic. Vegetation around the waterfall is rich with endemic plants.
