Air

Several international and regional carriers offer air service to/from Bonaire.

Airports & Airlines

Flamingo Airport is immediately south of Kralendijk. There are weekly flights from North America on Delta and United, while KLM flies more often from New York and Amsterdam. Insel Air and Divi Divi Air offer frequent service to/from Curaçao, as well as charters to Aruba.

Departure Tax

Departure tax for international flights is US$35, while it's just US$9 for flights to Aruba and Curaçao US$9. The tax is normally included in the ticket price.

Getting to Neighboring Islands

Plans for ferries within the ABCs perpetually run aground. Luckily, flights between Bonaire and Curaçao are frequent and short.

Sea

Many cruise ships call at Bonaire, docking at the port in the middle of Kralendijk. On days when there is more than one ship at port, the center of town is closed and thousands of visitors swarm the island. See Info Bonaire (www.infobonaire.com) for the schedule of ships and cruises arriving in the port of Bonaire.

Land

It is not possible to get to Bonaire over land.
