Three mornings a week, travelers can accompany STCB workers on their rounds monitoring sea-turtle nests on Klein Bonaire. The organization maintains careful records of all new and existing nests, including counting the eggshells and looking for stragglers from any newly hatched nest. For travelers who can make a longer-term commitment, there are several cool volunteer opportunities.

Long-term volunteers may undergo training to become independent 'beachkeepers,' monitoring beaches all around the island. From January to April STCB recruits snorkelers to help with its in-water survey, counting sea turtles along the west coast of Bonaire and around Klein Bonaire.
