#LPInstawalk: Washington DC edition

Join us and @brilliantartistry for our

We recently revealed that Washington DC is our number one Best in Travel city for 2015. To celebrate this, and the launch of our brand new Washington DC pocket guide, we're offering four lucky instagrammers the chance to join Lonely Planet expert Regis St. Louis (@RegisStLouis) and talented instagrammer Jarrett Hendrix (@BrilliantArtistry) on a bespoke tour of Washington DC on Saturday 6th December. We’ll share some of our insider tips on where to go in the capital, and some top tips for instagramming your travels.

Who is @BrilliantArtistry?

Jarrett has been documenting the world around him through the lens of a camera for as long as he can remember. Throughout high school and college, he was always "that guy with the camera". Born and raised in Washington DC, he has had the opportunity to witness the exponential growth of the city. From tours of the White House and Union Station to exploring private areas of the U.S. Capitol, photography - mixed with social networking - has taken him many places. He believes that every photograph you take is first a reflection of yourself, and because of that belief, every photo he takes has a sense of purpose.

Regis St. Louis

Regis St. Louis has contributed to dozens of Lonely Planet titles, including the Washington DC city guide. Spending around four months a year on the road, his assignments have taken him to far-flung places (the Amazon, Siberia, Papua New Guinea), though he sometimes finds his greatest travel adventures happen a little closer to home.
