London in bloom

What: RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Where: London, England
When: 24 to 28 May 2011

Nothing heralds the arrival of summer like the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The UK’s gardening elite showcase their green-fingered creations at this London institution and visitors the world over come to take a look.

This year’s show runs from 24-28 May and over 150,000 people are expected to visit. You’ll be in good company should you choose to come along as members of the Royal Family (including the Queen) are annual attendees.

A day wandering aimlessly amongst the colourful blooms is time well spent, or you can follow a floor plan to find your favourites fast then hit the champagne bar.

At the heart of the show, the Great Pavilion is a fantastic place to start; here you can take a floral-inspired journey around the world with displays reflecting some of the world’s most impressive flora.
