Join our London treasure hunt to win!

Internet Week logo

We've organised a treasure hunt in London to help celebrate the first ever Internet Week Europe.

The winner's prize will be a Lonely Planet goodie bag worth £150, but of course, it will be whole lot of fun for all involved too.

Meet us at 6PM on Wednesday 10th November 2010 at the front of Charing Cross station on the Strand (near the Charing Cross hotel entrance) - we'll be in Lonely Planet T shirts!

We'll tweet the first clue to all participants, and then it's up to you to find the first location... Clues will be based around information in the Lonely Planet City Guide iPhone app, but don't worry because you can download the app for free for Internet Week.

Clues will come every 15 minutes - follow the #lptreasure hashtag to keep up-to-date with clues, but no cheating as you'll have to collect some treasure and take some photos as you go, to prove you've really been to all the locations.

We'll be waiting for you at the end where you can present all the treasure to us (to prove you've really been there!) The first person/team back will win a Lonely Planet goodie bag worth £150, and for everyone else? Well, there's a pub nearby where you can head across to to socialise with fellow treasure-hunters. The hunt should take no longer than an hour to complete so you'll have the whole night ahead of you.

We hope to see you there!

Interested? We don't need a formal RSVP but tweet us @LonelyPlanetUK if you're thinking of attending so we have some idea how many people to expect.
