To take advantage of the iPad’s amazing capabilities we’ve built 1000 Ultimate Experiences from the ground up. By swiping, flicking and thumbing your way through this app, you can explore a deck of 1000 virtual cards bringing together the top ideas, places and activities around the world. Armchair travel has never been so much fun. How about journeying to the world’s most surreal landscapes? Or retrace the steps of the greatest historical journeys? Want to know where to discover the world's best boat trips? For fans of the peculiar, you can find the world's weirdest dining experiences or even the best places to have a midlife crisis.

Get the popcorn ready. 1000 Ultimate Experiences is packed with stunning video.

And because we want you to be in the know, we’ll give you a heads-up of what’s to come. Lonely Planet’s Discover guide series, our new full-color series highlighting must-see attractions and unbeatable experiences in destination countries, is currently in development for iPad in iBook format. Launch titles for the iPad will include: Great Britain, Italy, Spain, France and Ireland.

The 1000 Ultimate Experiences App for iPad is available now from the App Store on iPad or on the iTunes Store (*purchase by April 15 and receive a free Lonely Planet t-shirt - see details below).
