Internationally known painter René Wirths lives and works in Berlin. His photo-realistic paintings could be seen at exhibitions in Berlin, Zürich, Paris, Prague, Krems and Rotterdam. He also works in Berlin for Gallery Michael Haas. Only lately his exhibition „Das was bleibt“ enjoyed great attention.On his personal tour he takes you to a dive into his Berlin. The tour • From a viewpoint in the west of Berlin you get an overlook of Berlin. From there René Wirths takes you to Galerie Michael Haas in Niebuhrstr., Charlottenburg, the artist’s gallery. It was founded in 1976 by Michael Haas. It is dedicated to the art of the classical modernity of the German and international art after 1945 and the contemporary art. • Along Kurfürstendamm on the way to Schöneberg he presents you his view on the west part of Berlin in his deep and likable way. • You now find yourself in the new Art-Mekka of Berlin. In Tiergarten and Kreuzberg a gallery quarter arose around Potsdamer Straße and Lindenstraße. Next to big internationally operating galleries there are also the small and ambitious ones. You will peak in one ore more galleries and get surprised. • Recreation next to his work René finds for example at the riverside of the Spree. At the cafe and restaurant „Auster“ in the „Haus der Kulturen der Welt“, the pregnant oyster as the Berliners call it, he invites you to a refreshment. • He is pleased to take you to his studio and introduce you to his to show you his artistic processes and present works. • During a three course meal in on of his favorite restaurants he is happy to answer all the questions you have.
